Lonesome Frontier is a new, collaborative project from acclaimed songwriters Danielle Howle, Barb Carbon, and Josh Roberts, using a writer's round format in which the artists share the spotlight with each leading their original tunes while the others add hamony and additional instrumentation. Listeners will hear new and lesser-known compositions rarely, if ever, performed with the artists' full bands, along with more well-known songs performed in a beautifully stripped-down and accessible way. At each performance there is ample sonic space for the intricate and powerful lyrics to shine with time between songs to tell stories and connect with the audience, and one another, on a deeper level. The collective aims to deliver a meaningful sense of connection, catharsis, community, and shared experience we all need right now.
