“The Sun's Smeared Lipstick” With the improvement of lipstick colors, and especially lip gloss, I have noticed my love for it more, especially a really good lipgloss. I had one once (it was expensive) that had all these colors in it at the same time. When I started this painting, it was all big pinks with the white canvas still showing and I put it aside for a few days. Then I found some ways to mix the yellows into the pinks and reds. It made me think of the sun kissing everyone and everything and then just chilling in the sky all smeared and beautiful.

Postcard paintings are 5”x7” acrylic on canvas, with a clear coat of matt varnish over them to protect the vibrant colors.
